Pieter is an experienced IT professional and has been active since 2014 within ITGilde, a collective of open source and DevOps freelancers. He focuses on professional development and provides consultancy and training with a strong emphasis on innovation. In 2018, he founded the Living Open Source Foundation in Kenya, offering free training to empower local communities through open source.
As chairman of the ITGilde Broodfonds, he promotes mutual support among freelancers. He also serves as regional chairman at KNVI and has held leadership roles in both sports clubs and businesses. With his technical certifications and people-oriented approach, Pieter is a mentor who shares knowledge and helps grow the open source ecosystem.
