The extraordinary General Members’ Meeting (ALV) of DOSBA on April 1 in Tilburg was entirely focused on progress and renewal.
After the previous ALV on March 5, 2026 had just too few members present to vote, this meeting provided the opportunity to finally make key decisions. With a clear agenda and strong attendance, the association was able to continue building its future.
The main focus was the vote on the amendment of the statutes. The proposed changes — including a name change, an updated mission as a trade association, and modernization in line with the WBTR — mark an important step in the organization’s professionalization. The foundation was also laid for (partly) online meetings and the introduction of a titular director, providing greater flexibility and effectiveness.
A new board has also been formed. DOSBA thanks Marcel Kronengoor and Ronny Lam for their role as pioneers. The new board consists of Bram Buijs, Gábor Nyers, Pieter Izebout, and Emiel Brok. Ronny Lam takes on the role of director, responsible for daily management and external representation of DOSBA.
In addition to the formal decision-making, there was room for substantive discussion. Topics such as digital sovereignty and the European Commission’s cloud sovereignty framework sparked a lively exchange of ideas. This made the ALV not only necessary from a statutory perspective, but also a valuable and inspiring moment for members to jointly shape the future.
