"Digital sovereignty is not a battle, but a dance," says Emiel Brok, co-founder of the Dutch Open Source Business Alliance (DOSBA), during a roundtable discussion hosted by ITchannelPRO.
Brok compares Europe and Big Tech to two dance partners and warns that Europe will only become truly resilient once it defines its digital autonomy based on open source software and open standards. "When both dance partners have better balance and can stand on their own two feet, it results in a more harmonious dance for both."
To improve the visibility and accessibility of open source software and expertise, DOSBA is working on an independent product and service matrix that will offer a clear overview of the Dutch open source landscape. “As the European and Dutch open source sector, we have more than enough expertise to be a strong dance partner,” says Brok.
