Our Business Talks
Soverin – Digital sovereignty starts with email
Diana Krieger and Alexander van Steen
Diana, founder and CEO of Soverin, explains how the company is building a Dutch alternative to Big Tech. Product manager Alexander will present the roadmap towards digital sovereignty and solutions that give organisations more control over their email, data and digital workplace.
The Whiteboard – A fair business model for open source
From open-source contributions to fair rewards
The Whiteboard introduces a new model for making open-source software commercially available while fairly rewarding developers for their contributions.
The concept combines secure software development in line with European regulations, including CRA and DORA, with licences, subscription revenue and transparent revenue sharing using blockchain technology.
Fonetic Studio – Open source for an inclusive society
Dennis Mansell
Fonetic Studio develops open-source products and digital services for people whose needs are often overlooked by society. Examples include AI solutions for deaf and hard-of-hearing passengers in public transport and tools for reporting labour exploitation.
Dennis will explain the company's unique business model: earning money by developing digital commons rather than restricting access to knowledge. Everything is published under free licences, and the company is owned by the people who work there.
Stronger together within DOSBA
Besides the three presentations, we will discuss the CEDAR partnership and business opportunities within our network.
Which services can we combine? What challenges do we share? And how can we reach new customers and markets together?
The DOSBA Business Meetup is more than sharing knowledge. It is a platform for developing business together.
