Open-source stories on stage: DOSBA’s first stand-up gathering

On Tuesday, 9 September, the first stand-up event for DOSBA took place. It was held at the ITGilde office in Amstelveen, which is also DOSBA's office address. Members were invited to take the stage and share their work in the open-source space.

IT Gilde owner Pieter Izeboud welcomed everyone and kicked off with an explanation of his company's role in the open-source community. Emiel Brok, co-founder of DOSBA and Open Source Ambassador at SUSE, was the first to speak and share his experience and insights. Another co-founder, Ronny Lam, then gave an update on the openKAT collaboration project, highlighting the successful collaboration between various members.

Each participant gave a short pitch, which led to a wonderful exchange of success stories and lessons learned. The next event is scheduled for Wednesday, 26 November 2025, when ‘friends of’ the association are also welcome to attend.
